Why solar panels don’t need to face north

Setting a solar panel North towards the sun’s rays will generate the greatest amount of electricity.... But, because the sun moves in the sky throughout the day, it’s important to position each panel so it produces the most electricity when you need it.

TOP TIP: Try to maximise your self-consumption. This is the energy that you consume yourself. We recommend doing this because it means that you're selling less back to the grid (where it loses bout 50% of value) and saving more money in the process.
